Bushes...polybushes or oem? The car will be on coilovers. Reasonably low, bit raked but not stupid. It is for road use, it will be nurburgringed but I dont want a complete bone shaker. Im thinking polybushes, purple road ones???

Also whats the difference between eccentric and concentric bushes?

Personally, unless it was a track slag: OEM / Lemforder

I've rebushed my cab and thought about poly but realised it is a waste of time (especially so on a cab) unless I were to be track slagging the car, which I won't. New OEM bushes will be like night and day compared to the original/worn replacements anyway.

Yeah see thats the thing...itl be on the ring for a few laps..odd day at knock hill. Other than that itl be road use, the odd skid on private land so maybe polybushes are just overkill

For the odd track day and a couple of laps of the Nordschleife poly does seem excessive. I suspect some people will swear by them but friends that have them on their cars aren't overly impressed on a daily.

A lot of purple ones are 90a durometer, avoid them if you don't like maintenance and noise.

I would just stick with OEM.. I doubt its worth it for just the odd track days, if its going on the road more..

this was posted up here the other day, there's more info on the topic..

i have polybushes on mine, it was a daily driver but is now an occasional use / fun car.

i like how they make the car feel and am happy to accept the compromises of increased 'harshness' / noise and vibration in return for sharper responses.

some people hate poly beam bushes, but my m3 has them and it's the most neutral and progressive e30 i've driven.
cheers,

harry

Basically I want the car firm..noise doesnt bother me but I want it firm feeling and responsive. I dont however want a bone shaker. Standard bushes and poly bushes on the arb perhaps?

This is what you need, you goon!

But, don't you think a driving licence and experience might be wise before you enter the "ring" - don't forget the ring can chew you up and spit you out (pacer has the photos!).

Perhaps the OP should be less worried about gert-8/pacerpete's activities and use the search function...
