318is fuel tank

Does the 318is have a 55L or a 63L petrol tank? if its the smaller one can the 63l one be fitted?

any help would be appreciated.

iS should have a 55l tank, IIRC. A 62l one is a straight swap, as regards fixing it in place, but the fuel return pipe from the engine will have to be diverted from the fuel pump to the stub on the si de of the bigger tank, the pipe on the fuel pump that the return was removed from will need blanking off, the extra fuel level sensor will be needed, and the wiring modified to include it, and finally the fuel gauge in the instrument cluster will need changing.
