Gotta say, the zone roam I went on was fantastic fun, and the "all staying in a big house" format was great. IF we could make the finances work I'd definitely be up for it! Roaming from hotel to hotel isn't so great for me, but hey - I'd give it a go.

Finance can be made to work,no problems there.Morat wrote:Gotta say, the zone roam I went on was fantastic fun, and the "all staying in a big house" format was great. What is needed, though,is some-one with the nesessary skills to plan and organise the feeding.
And some-one with the local knowledge of the chosen area to properly organise routes.
Events such as Jedbough do not arrange themselves,I put best part of a year into that event!

I'll be getting involved with Gaydon as per usual and I'd like to see the zone have a stand there.
What I need is some one to commit to it and for the zones top boys to give the OK

My 2pence worth, the weather killed alot of shows for me last year, then Santa Pod I had a family emergency, so had the pull out at the last minute. I went to Beaulieu, Sherborne & Cranleigh, hopefully I'll make some more this year.

TBH, last year i was so f*cked off with the people that run the zone, i didnt bother with any shows.TPS wrote:My 2pence worth, the weather killed alot of shows for me last year, then Santa Pod I had a family emergency, so had the pull out at the last minute. Thing is though, does the zone need any shows? I couldn't care less. I go to a car show and I look at what I feel is worthy of looking at no matter what it is. I'm not going to look at a councilled up old shitter on BK171's because 'it's owned by a Zoner, man'.bss325i wrote:TBH, last year i was so f*cked off with the people that run the zone, i didnt bother with any shows.TPS wrote:My 2pence worth, the weather killed alot of shows for me last year, then Santa Pod I had a family emergency, so had the pull out at the last minute. The real zone spirit is camping at Santa Pod. Unrivalled councillness, drinking, copious amounts of abuse (!) and a bloody good laugh. It's once a year and that's enough.
I do see a fair few E30's driving in and around the city.
My daily commute to work is Romford to central.
How many of us here are in the east of london & maybe we could start of something small to then add to larger events through the year.
My guess for us all to get together is to start of free and small with some local meets and then to grow slow and steady.
So how many of us who live south east of the river ?

the best thing surely, is to organise just outside of london on the west side somewhere, not far for the london to travel, and also allows for more members to easily come from other areas to the west/south.north, without having to go around the m25 and in to london to the east end and all the aggro that comes with it
what about the idea i had for the "zone rally" similar but not as much hasstle to organise and people can do more their own thing, rather than trying to organise set routes and loads of people paying up front for and booking accomodation en mass and everything else , could also be a more centralised route/locations and a lot more fun and free spirited, also something new and a different ideadaimlerman wrote:Finance can be made to work,no problems there.Morat wrote:Gotta say, the zone roam I went on was fantastic fun, and the "all staying in a big house" format was great. This is one of the few I would really like to make if I ever get the cab to the point where it won't be an embarresment turning up in it (and it makes it that far)

Just take it in whatever state it is in? I plan on going to meets/shows in mine and it will be one of the biggest piles of rubbish at each meet/show. The only plus side is I don't appear to have terminal rot in mine...I do however need to replace archs and all sorts.Rtaylor2208 wrote:This is one of the few I would really like to make if I ever get the cab to the point where it won't be an embarresment turning up in it (and it makes it that far)

Weather was fantastic at Gaydon this year!
Are the e30's getting a big up from the club this year? Or is another model taking stage after the e30 m3's had it large there last year.

Ok guys, great thread
Could someone post a definitive list of all the show the Zone members are interested in this year and we can go from there.

Links are normally posted in the Events & Shows section for the big shows, as for local meets its easy to organize one of your own.
And no one really cares if your car is a shitter at local meets, bit different at the bigger shows though.
