I'v got the M50 inlet manifold off the engine because I was making holes in it, for better feeds for the boost gauge and vems ecu,

and i'v noticed that the round plastic connector, that "plugs" into the inlet, (on the underside, in the middle  )

was a bit moist around the join, and seemed loose,
there's a canny gap between it and the manifold,

I can see the retaining tab is still there, but when the whole thing is pushed back onto the inlet,
the end of the tab gets pushed away from the "tab bracket" if you know what I mean.

so

Does anyone have a solution for this to be secure?
or
should I just araldite it into place??

These are always a shite fit mate, I bought a new one as the old one had the tab missing but even the new one wobbled about.

I would just glue the fecker in :)

Aye, your right Lee, there a shocking fit

I'v just been looking at it again, and I reckon a bit of araldite should see it right,

or..
zippy clip wrapped around it, then another through the loop of that one and fastening through the "tab hole"

I do away with that clip and pipe and just shove the ICV straight into the manifold, You need to remove two little locators and trim a bit off the ribs then it fits perfectly :D

Not a bad idea at all,
but I need to keep it, The nipple on the side is feeding the boost controller

Glue the crap out of it,
With great challenges comes great engineering.

Thats exactly what i'v done dude,

I bought a new one, just to see if it was going to be a better fit, but it's a crap design really,
So I just smothered it in araldite

and it's not moving anymore :D
