I keep blowing a fuse

I took the dash out to fit a cage in. All back together and I've got no brake lights - the fuse has blown. As soon as I pop another fuse in it blows straight away.
I'm guessing that I've messed something up behind the dash.
Any ideas?

something earthing out, bare wiring perhaps?
