M50B25 idle and small issues

hey.. my m50 sits about 1000rpm on idle and every now and again it worbles and hunts ever so slighly. are they many common issues on these? its got a new lambda sensor soldered in but im not 100% sure if the wires are correct...this is because the looom side plug was missing, i hunted around through mant bmw related forums for colour matches but i only found one very vaguly similar to what ive actualy got lol. shes shit on fuel too!
