Holes are too large on the Ultra ones. Dunno if they are on the RPM's though.

had an rpm one before, they are solid and well made, tight fit- slightly too tight on the inside of the turret corners
i see demon tweeks do a sparco one for £135, ideally id like a twin hartge one but they dont come up often, if anyone has one ?
any other options?

Sparco do a twin tube alloy front strut brace, copy of the Hartge. The only difference is where the two tubes mount the plate

. Fits all e30,s exept M3 but they are double the price of the RPM or ultra racing. Look kinda period as Hartge done that style for the E30 back in the day. Still available new.

Check out europerformance website listed as £241.Im sure you can get them elsewhere too, because europerformace customer service is crap. That price sound about right though.you could try looking out for a Hartge original for a few more ££.

Slotted holes defeats the object IMO, looks like they are trying to make up for manufacturing errors.
Sparco FTW

The slotted holes are funny.
Racing dynamics and sparco ones look perfect. You'd be surprised by the weight of the racing dynamics one if you picked it up though!

Surely the slotted holes won't matter once bolted up properly as the friction between brace and turret will be enough to have them behave as one, like slotted holes in wheel spaces and trailing arm adjusters for example.

Agreed, if bolted up tight the holes aren't an issue.
However, I would prefer to have brave which had a full strut top plate so reinforced the whole top of the turret as well as braced between the struts.
The rear one won't make a jot of difference either, I'd rather spend a bit more on a decent front brace and not bother with a rear one at all.
cheers,
harry

you would of thought that be the case, the rpm ones were like that, and had slotted holes i think , with an open end
any pics of the dynamics ones ?

I've got a single bar sparco one I got from Andyp ages ago. Picture's not brilliant but you've got the idea. Although I sprayed it satin black to go with the engine bay a little nicer

You got to jack the car up to fit these, Makes you realize how much the car flexes!

I have a ultra racing front strut brace on my e30 it does what it's suppose to do, and
the whole size was no issue, you may need to jack up one side of the car to get it on tho

if you want the hartge style one then go for the sparco twin tube, very strong & looks good aswell.
never understood the need for hinges on a strut brace.
got a sparco twin tube on the front of my sport & a single tube on the back & had no problems at all.
even sold a few "hartge" one's

on ebay

if it's got t*ts or wheels it's bound to be trouble...............prove me wrong.
getting oral sex off an ugly person is like rock climbing.....don't look down ;)
