Hi can anyone tell me how easy it is to take a power steering rack off and the best place to get a recon one from

Instead of going for a recon E30 rack why not go for an E46 rack? Straight swap with the pipes from danthe on here.
if it's got t*ts or wheels it's bound to be trouble...............prove me wrong.

Also you can pick up a E46 rack from £30+ on ebay.

No, the rack you want has a purple tag on the rack and the part number ends in 067.
If you do a search you will find all the info needed.
