As subject header really. Does anyone know what the standard ride height is for a mtech2 325i. Mine is an 1988 model and was factory specced with the mtech suspension.

However now it sits unevenly with unknown mismatched springs on the front. I plan to replace the springs/shocks all round but want to maintain roughly the same height it has at the moment, although I can't find the original numbers to use as a benchmark.

15mm lower than standard non-Mtech IIRC.

Thanks James, do you know what the standard ride height is?

Mine is at approx 601mm front n/s and 620mm front o/s (car is LHD) and 580mm rear n/s and 570mm rear o/s.

If I can find out the standard height I can work out the H&R -35mm (which I've ordered) in relation to my car and also decide on if I should or shouldn't get a pair of e90 front hats.

I don't know the standard height, sorry. My Sport was slightly lower than standard when I got it, my touring was standard 4 pot 4x4 spec, so I fitted my Sports suspension to it and I never measured the height at standard height.

If you've got the -35mm kit, that should be 20mm lower than Mtech height, roughly the same as my Sport. The E90 hats are meant to lower the front a little more, so with the -35mm springs you could be looking at -40-45mm at the front. Having said that, a few people have said they didn't notice any difference with the E90 hats fitted.

Thanks again James. Think I'll fit the h&r kit measure again and then take it from there.
Hope you have a happy new year :)
