Hi Guys,
Recently having upgraded my headlights to HID's. I must say its probably by far the best £20.00 upgrade i have done tot he old girl.
Switching the interior lights on seem a tad dim. I have the standard yellow light bulb installed from factory and they seem very dim even though if the car is switched on or off.
Has anybody here completed a change to these lights?
any upgrade bulbs that you all can recommend or is this something that nobody yet has done?
regards
Jon

The white one would probably be better, if you want brightness:

Sold, I've just ordered a couple. Anyone know if the Touring Tailgate light & the Maplight Mirror can be upgraded?

I just ordered one too, as the interior light on my car is a bit on the feeble side.
Being LEDs, I'm guessing that they have to be installed the correct way round though...

Maybe on the cheap cheap ones, but most have the correct resistance built in not to.

Not an ideal design, packaging a high dissipation resistor near LEDs!Rav335uk wrote:Maybe on the cheap cheap ones, but most have the correct resistance built in not to.

g-bear thanks
after driving a friends e46 i was quite blow away by the amount of night visibility it had to offer. i presume he has the standard factory bmw HID kit however after a bit of research and help from the zoners i was on my way to see the same light behind my old turd.
as for the interior lighting i just thought why not something little that will look good i geuss...
i never really use my fog lights much as motorway driving is not in my daily commute anymore.
so all i really need to know now is which parking lights shall i or we all here invest into?
i understand they are just to tiny little bulbs but is there is anything far from the chavy blue/purple and the old yellow color and something ice white would do me just fine.
glad you all are benefiting from my post why not, if it improves the lighting which gives it a modern contemporary look hell yeahh

You can get white led sidelight bulbs too.
Unfortunately a lot of them are quite blue looking, I've yet to find by that are a nice crisp hid matching white.
There must be some which match, but there are so many out there it's hard to know where to start.
