I know Lemforder do them but what other brands are up to the job?
GSF just say OEM quality which could mean anything.

These cant go on the credit card Mick, ive just spent nearly 1k on wheels and tyres so if the wife spots another £100 odd spent it will cause all sorts of agro!
Im using my private cash stash that she knows nothing about.
Sooo, i have to buy over the counter at GSF (where i get trade discount) ECP dont do the online discount when you pay cash in store, i cant win.
Rich, from what i understand its a bit of a chew to press the balljoints in/out.

Talk to Matt , Lee.
He might do the discount so you can go to your local ECP to pay over the counter.
And get the full wishbones, I bought seperate ball joints, and there was minimal price difference in that and the wishbone.

I fitted new ball joints to a pair of arms a few years ago and it worked out at about £25
Obviously had them blasted and powdercoated first.
I bought a pair of ECP Q-drive specials for about £30 a piece about 5 years ago and they are still in use today, over 50,000 miles later, but, I believe the newer Q-drive arms are utter shite....
If you dont want to mess about then buy some Lemforder arms, but otherwise id be fitting ball joints as its not that much work if you know someone with a press

I go on the Ecp website, pick what I want, put the discount code in then reserve at my local store. The conformation page with your order number comes up with the total to pay, which includes the discount.
The two nearest branches I use have never questioned or tried to alter the price.
However, walking in off the street without pre-ordering then they won't give a discount.

Might be worth keeping your old arms so the next time they need replacing you can just replace the ball joints and swap them over, then repeat when they need doing again.

Glad to hear you've sorted it. I've just bought a n/s wishbone front GSF for £38 delivered. Less hassle than getting the bj's pressed. I'd spoken with Andrew Page who said Vetech were the company they used and they made the oem ones. That's what's turned up from GSF so hopefully it won't fall off.

V-tech is a budget brand, avoid!!
Lemforder are OEM on these arms and I can supply them for £54 each delivered.

They should honour the price regardless, I always do. seems silly sending a customer away to use the internet to get a price that I can do in-store!harry_p wrote:I go on the Ecp website, pick what I want, put the discount code in then reserve at my local store. Which isn't expensive - I bought a pair of Lemforders about 18 months ago and they were the same price then. I wouldn't be looking to save pennies on things like wishbones, it's just not worth itMeatballs82 wrote:V-tech is a budget brand, avoid!!
