loose spring or valve knocking noise 325i

just last few days tappet noise getting loader an loader does that mean engine gone or can they be fixed been told now it could be a broken spring or valve help

Set the clearance so long as it is that. Never known them to get louder n louder within days. All the info is in the wiki.
