Merry Xmas everyone and all that bollox
If you were to buy a e30 (not convertible), what areas would you like to see a pic taken of?
possibly looking at buying another but the guy that is selling is miles away, it looks good in the pictures but that's mainly exterior pics.
BMW e30 pics, what would you like to see a pic taken of.

problem areas on cabs are generally:
1. Roof and the rear window including the stitching
2. The leather generally fades and shrinks due to the heat and lack of conditioning
3. Cracked dash
Other than that follow the rust guide in the wiki as they rust in all the same places as other E30's

Rear arches: outside, inside (behind the doorcards), and in the boot. Also in the boot with no carpets paying attention to the wells either side but particularly the O/S where the battery goes, and the rear edge of the boot opening with the seal removed.
Tops of the wings where they meet the scuttle, and the front battery tray with the battery removed if that is where it is fitted.
Bottoms of the wings, at the rearmost part of the arch, and the factory mounts which are under the accelerator pedal and the corresponding area on the N/S, obviously from under the car you can't expect the seller to remove the carpets.
The roof and sunroof, check the latter very carefuly, any scratches in the direction of travel mean bad things, like internal cassette rust
The interior: dash, drivers bolster, heel pad.
Engine bay: looking for missing parts, council mods, rust.
The sellers camera will need to be good to be able to make meaningful judgements, but it all helps. It is in no way a substitute for going to see the car though.
You could ask a trusted zoner to go and look at it for you.
