you think you will do it on one set of wheels?
guessing you will chop and change what boards you use depending on where you are at the time

1991 BMW E30 318i Neon Design Convertible (Sold)
1990 BMW E30 325i Touring (Sold)
1990 BMW E30 318IS (Sold)
1990 BMW E30 316i (RIP)
Wheels last aaaaaaages! I'm guessing he uses one of those lowered and chopped lightweight longboards and not your standard wooden longboard!!! You kinda need to get your lead foot as close to the ground as possible when you start doing big miles, hence the chopped boards. One's knees would be shot and your quads would be on fire on a standard height longboard otherwisepac1982 wrote:you think you will do it on one set of wheels?

Yeah it's lowered in the middle, this sort of thing

I'm not used to these, i've ridden a normal 8 x 31" skateboard for the past 15 years so this is completely new to me, should be interesting, hopefully the wheels will last, some spare bearings are a must,
I could have some kind of e30zone branding on my helmet if everyone digs deep and donates!

Yeah take some bearings as spares but they shouldn't need replacing after 'only' 260 miles!!! Your only trouble will be torential rain causing the bearings to wash out, but I'd be taking a small pot of grease anyway if it were me
You can get even lower boards than the one you linked, I've seen CF boards as well if you want to reduce the weight (would be of some benefit!). Have you checked out the weight difference between the wooden decks and the composite/resin moulded ones? I've also seen more areodynamic ones either. When you're doing 30 odd miles a day every little helps!! What's the furthest distance you've road skated?

That's exactly what it looks like! it's a new one they've made, don't think it's been released yet so it's good for publcity for a new product for them, I think it's a carbon fibre deck or at least has a carbon fibre layer. rain WILL be my biggest nightmare,
I haven't done a lot of distance skateboarding, im more into throwing myself down sets of stairs but i'm getting older now and it's starting to hurt!!!
If everyone could like the facebook page, that'd be awesome!
