Rear camber adjustment.
Moderator: martauto
there is no adjustment as standard other than altering the ride height which also affects the camber.
i have heard of using eccentric bushes, but they need to be pressed in in the right position to give the camber you want which isnt easy! and to do that youre going to be not far off removing the rear subframe, so you might aswell do that and weld on some tabs so it can be set up properly once on the car.

My 325 runs about 2 degrees negative camber on the back at a guess at standard ride height. I have neg camber top mounts and lollipops on front and still the rear has more. My ones bent over time and are due to be replaced fir standard flat ones again soon. It's a rally car. If there was a cheap/easy mod I'd be tempted to buy some for myself to reduce the camber.

Are you lowering the car Graham?
You could raise the subframe instead, thus countering any camber on the rear.
There is a 12mm kit available online.

This was interesting what you can do (or similar), obviously this is toe not camber but still fair play!

You can adjust camber, toe and if i'm not being stupid, roll centre as well with that guys setupmilescook wrote:This was interesting what you can do (or similar), obviously this is toe not camber but still fair play!

However, these three things are adjusted when raising the rear beam 12mm.
It depends how low you want to go, but my car is quite low and with the raised rear beam, i'm happy with the camber and toe and the way the car feels. Car is much more neutral (never oversteers or understeers unless provoked).
I'm about to fit a new adjustable beam and "new" trailing arms after having a slight "wheel-to-barrier" incident. Also going for different bushes (?) which mount the beam to allow lowering w/o the other issues.

Ingenious I think, but then I'm easily pleased!
Some awesome shots to show how the drum assembley goes back together too. That's pretty handy for me at the mo as all the bits ar in a Tesco bag...

This lot arrived this week:

Hope to get them fitted over the next week or so.
Having seen the other thread about putting the beam, diff and arms etc back, it might take longer than I planned, though I do have extra pair of hands to help me.

Look where the adjuster bolt is, the two plates the bolt is passing through are not inline with each other.
TBH I wouldnt advise to fit the plates in the way they have been done, you are removing a lot of strength by cutting the ends out of the mount, a butt weld will never be as strong as that original mount
It will probably work fine, but im a fussy c00nt like that

Danthe's rear beam

You can see the origional bolt up parts are not cut off... they are elongated and the plates are welded against it so it reains its origional strength + more
Top bit of kit, shall be resembling it all over the next 2 weeks when all my other gear is here.

Can I ask why you have gone for the reinforcements on the rear arms?
It looks like you might have rear ARB drop link issues with the arms as they are. Also the filler neck for the tank will be in the way.

Andrew
