Just a quickie, I have just purchased
An auto 316 chromite, I know lol, but its
My donor car for an m52.
Anyway, its mot,d &tax'd so thought
While I'm collecting parts could use it.
Reverse seems fine but drive slips when under load,
So much so that it won't go up inclines.
Is there an easy temporary fix to get a few weeks
Use out of it or has it taken its last drive as a 316 auto?
Cheers Millsy

Check the fluid level (when running), and top up if needed.
Doubt if it'll help but you might be lucky.

No, the clutch discs are worn out, common on old 4HP22's. Avoid reversing up slopes!

ill check the level but its probably as i thought, knackered, just seems a shame to leave it parked up all over christmas with mot & tax.
Still, i suppose it will make me hurry along with collecting the bits for the conversion.
