just looking abit of advice up front of getting my car back from painters...
i think i read somewhere that it is not good for the paint to put a cover on the car after a fresh respray...is there any truth i this??

my car will be kept in a dry garage but thought id put an indoor cover on it{just incase}of any damage that may happen.{hopefully not}

thanks in advance for advice

Erm....................NO!!!!!!

Do not cover it, it'll leave imprints on the paint as it is soft for a few monthe after painting. 8O

One word of advise, Don't put a car over on it, it will o more damage then good, will cause micro blisters in the paint.

Definitely don't put a car cover on it. Seen it a couple of times, laquer 'sweats' and can cause all sorts of odd things in the paint.

also dont wax it !!! try not to use anything on it

lisa being this weather and you have a garage, do you drive another car ? ,best advice would be to get it back, leave it in the garage for a couple of months to really cure, if you start hooning about in it in this weather with grit on roads etc will not be good for a new paint job

also, like yourself i was worried about stuff getting on the car in garage, recently lined the inside of the garage roof with a breathable roofing membrane, very good thing to do, controls the moisture and also keeps garage clean, spiders,bugs,dust etc are nowhere to be seen and cant drop or drop anything down from above

thanks for the advice..yea i have a daily car run around..ill not be picking the car up even when it is ready if the roads are damp..the cars been garaged for last ten +years so would be a shame to get it wet/damp now...
the roof thing sounds a good idea...was thinking of getting inside walls plastered,then painted and paint the floor...

the nicer you make it the better, i too am waiting for car to come back from being painted, so i spent the time refurbing the garage, the roof stuff is excellent you just staple it up to the beams if you have them,gives a nice feel to it and good properties to keep the car nice and dry,ive got my floor carpeted for a bit of insulation

Car covers are bad news. If it's inside it'll just get dusty, big deal. Outside, let it get rained on. Just wash it every week and allow air to get around it.
