looking to smarten up my 15" bbs wheels, the silver on the wheels are in a sorry state at the moment. They are my winter wheels so need to survive the cold and wet months

Anyone got pics of their results if they have used hammerite smooth finish on their wheels :)

Powdercoat FTW
How do you pronounce 'either'? I say 'either', but some say 'either'. Either is correct.

Depends if you spray or brush it on - it can look good if done right; as usual, the quality of finish depends largely on the preparation beforehand.

Last time I asked I was quoted £50 a wheel for a full refurb including powdercoat. That would be for a top job though, the does all sorts of specialist stuff including mag wheels for old escort rally cars and vintage motorbike frames.

To be honest i was going to jet wash them and then spray the suckers with a rattle can.

Should look OK for a set of winter wheels, I'd have thought.

But, be sure to let them dry fully before applying the paint!

used it on other things , but defo would not put it on wheels 8O

a quick mask around rim light sand, primer, rattle can, would look better

not worth forking out £200 to powder refurb winter wheels

A couple of cans of filler primer, paint over the top and some clear coat and they will come up fine for winter wheels.

Make sure you do it somewhere warm though as its too cold at the moment to paint somewhere that has no heating.
