Thanks for the lookoutjon-m42 wrote:SStuart - Im from Romford Essesx however i work in the city my regular driving commute is from Romford to Bank. I will be sure to keep an eye out bud.
I know how much we all here love our E30's however please do understand it all is just materialistic attachment do not let it take over your life. I know easy said than done.
. I doubt breakers like the above would have much for an e30, they sell parts for much newer models, they would pay sod all buying in e30 parts to sell on for not much more. The parts from your car would probrably be sold private or some where like e-bay.aarc wrote:not another one from ilford thats 2 nice e30s i know about getting stolen from ilford first Gigg's one now this best bet fella is to check out bmw brekers in east london i know there is on on the a12 just before you go through blackwall tunnel pretty damn sure they deal in hot bms lyk your one fella
as everyones probably said its probably stolen for parts best to ask round for the kit maybe interior any other special parts u had on it but deffo have a look at the breakers in east london bud, wish u best of luck to get it back looks the nuts

Unfortunately, Pete will be correct.pacerpete wrote:The car is gone and stripped, of that we can be pretty certain. What you now need to concentrate on, is scouring the classifieds for similar cars for sale at the higher end of the price scale and saving the ads ready for the insurance company and their £800 offer
Anyone stealing an Specced up E30 will either burn it out at the end of the night or strip it for parts. It wasnt found burnt out so its most likely stripped. Hopefully we're wrong but its doubtful.
Its not all that common, but anyone who had thie E30 stolen, start a thread and it will get put onto the homepage aslong as some details are passed on. As for its own section, a mod would have to sort that.aarc wrote:Mods is it possible to have a section just for the stolen?? will make trying to find these lost e30 return to their homes a lot easier this just makes me sick fella once again will keep my eyes peeled if i see anything

Fixed
It's been over a year and you have had no luck? Sorry to hear that. From the picture on the 1st page it was a nice looking car.
I hope at the time you looked through eBay to see if there was anything recognisable selling that was on your car.

I have been looking every week (almost) to see if i recognise the car or any parts!
unfortunately to the best of my knowledge nothing has surfaced.
I am still holding hope that whoever took it has not scrapped it for parts. In my opinion, the car was too clean to do so.
Lets see if anything comes up this year.

Always a problem when you have a good example, to keep one as a daily driver parked on road its got to be a standard shitty looking turd with no centre caps.
Unfortunately, that means nothing to anyone who would nick a car, even more so if it's to break for partsSStuart wrote: I am still holding hope that whoever took it has not scrapped it for parts. In my opinion, the car was too clean to do so.
Its sad to say but, chances are by now it's either been scrapped or is wearing different VIN and reg plates

The main thing that i will advise all fellow zoners to do is get an imobilizer and tracking fitted to their vehicles.
As you may expect, when it comes to stolen cars, the police are about as helpful as a chocolate tea pot
There is an added benefit of being in this community in that we are always looking at cars or parts! Somehow we ought to figure out how to mark individual tell tale parts on our cars so that they can be identified if they ever hit the market again

This sport could be on the road with different plates on it.
Well, unless the new owner has managed to re-register a reported stolen car in their name, and insure a reported stolen car in their name, they're not going to be able to tax it are they?Lurch320i wrote:Sorry to hear about this. You must be absolutely heart broken

It was probably stripped for bits and chopped up within a week.
If the shell was really tidy its probably wearing the id of a rotten shitter that's now been chopped up and disposed of.
cheers,
