well, its been on my mind for a while, recently I decided id go ahead and build an e30 trailer.
itl take quite a while as work is real busy at the mo, but theres holidays coming up!!
ideally id like it made and finished for glamis 2013.

I bought a rear section of shell from verde, it was a 2 door, so my idea is to chop roof off, get a boot lid and fabricate it so the boot lid runs the full length of the trailer still using the catch etc.
I was going to chop out the floor and lower it down, but seems like it would more work than its worth so think ill sheet the floor, still use spare wheel well for a spare wheel and make storage compartments up front.
things im not sure of is how to finish the front end, any suggestions would be appreciated, I don't want to just sheet it, looks a bit too diy.

like I said, be a long winded project with slow progress but ill try and update when I can.

thanks.

Nobody really sees the front so I would probably plate straight across it and work on making the top look nice.

Think flat might have to be the way, although I thought about maybe butchering a couple of random panels from the scrappies to create a curve edge at front, then straight sheet inbetween.

Cheers Verde, but got a set from jake (shedrool) he's only 5 mins away from work eh.
I'll come round with it when im done, see what the shell turned into!

aluminium chequer plate works well but it is used on rather a lot of stuff so it would be nice to be a bit creative on the front and then just chequer plate the fook oot of the rest of it :D

I was looking at chequer plate for floor, but its quite expensive. I've got a digital templater and cnc at work, wondered if o could 'woody' inside it, any suggestions? Either that or ply it and spray bedliner or cover in rubber mat stuff from machine mart?

Thinking wood be easier and cheaper, I do lathe work too, so could make gear knob etc to match. To many options!
