The first product ever released to the public by Alpine electronics

it was called the electro gyrocator and was a joint project by alpine and Honda, i believe it was designed as a optional extra for the Honda prelude costing around $3000 back in 1981

not quite sure how it works compared to today's satnav, anyone know?

some pics.......

looks  in a very retro way :P

if you want an early sat nav i've got a goodmans one under the stairs that uses cd's & sits under the passenger seat with a small hand held unit that mounts to the dash. had it ages & it's just sat there gathering dust.
if it's got t*ts or wheels it's bound to be trouble...............prove me wrong.
getting oral sex off an ugly person is like rock climbing.....don't look down ;)

Looks like the old ones we used to fly with where the paper chart is loaded into the front, it doesn't give you any directions.. It's I'd literally just a just a position fix
