Okay,
What are peoples thoughts on this, looks immaculate. Its just the price that scares me a little.
I'm trying to find out who the specialist BMW was that has done the restoration on it, so will get back to you on that. To see if you have heard of them and they are reputable.
Do you also think this a fair price, or what would be fair price on something like this.

Any "Sport" with an Auto box doesn't really do it for me.
Looks nice, but it looks like its been photographed in the wet, so the pictures alone won't be a good indicator on condition.
You been to see it?

Second owner was a 'mature female',about sums up 'er indoors.....I'm always fixing 'er car....
It's an auto at manual money, and needs to be absolutely rot free in every respect to be worth that kind of money.

Youth is wasted on the young.
Not been to see it, as its fair trek down.
I want an auto, as im looking for a more relaxed drive.
Had VR6 manual for around 8 years, and cant really drive it properly because of all the speed humps and cameras nowadays.
So looking for more of cruising motor, with classic lines.
if it is rot free, what sort offer should i be looking at giving?

If you're after an auto does it have to be a two door?
Prices are a bit difficult, but the value is what you are prepared to pay for it, I would say.

Buy these cars just on condition, unfortunately 'sport' on the V5 adds value, this is best checked via a BMW dealer by offering the VIN number, unfortunately some do try to pass off a tarted up 325iSE as a fabled 'sport'...
I would just prefer a 2 door, as I've always had 4 door cars because of the family. But because i have second family car, i just want something more for me.
I understand that a value of an item is what one is prepared to pay.

I'd take that advice! How about the other one, Pete?pacerpete wrote:This car has been mentioned before. It has had plenty of 'patching' and the rear arches appear to be in trouble

In between the 786ers verbal diahorrea It sounds like it may be a decent car BUT inspite of the lady owners always garaging it and it never having seen rain, it had a body OVERHAUL seven years ago, that is a long time in the world of MOT type patch repairs and P40 bodge ups. It would definately need a very careful inspection.
IMHO 6K is too much for a rather ordinary spec 150k auto. That car will owe him 3k TOPS........
I am available to view and carry out an autopsy if the OP wants an honest in depth appraisal

@gert_8, I did consider this one, like has been said already it has rust on both arches and sunroof. The seller has said the battery tray has been repaired and also the front jacking points.pacerpete wrote:Gert_8 wrote:I'd take that advice! I've asked for more pictures around the windscreen and interior, but haven't received anything yet. I guess if the price was better it might be worth a punt but not at the asking price.
@pacerpete, thanks for the offer for checking the other one out for me. I will see first if he is prepared to make deal at better price first.
What sort cost would you be looking at for checking this car out by the way. You can PM me if you like.
By the way things are going, not sure I'm going to find one of these cars any time soon.
@ everyone who has posted, thanks for all your help so far really appreciate it.
