Just wondering which flywheel people are using on there m60s.
There's the ones on eBay at like £500 or the standerd dual mass which are also silly money.

Are there any others easily available? I'm using the 5 speed box is there any issues using the 4.0 clutch with this box?

Cheers Simon

Hi Simon,

I decided to use a Phoenix Motorsport lightweight flywheel and performance clutch.

http://phoenixmotorsport.co.uk/Products ... utches.php

It was a LOT of money, but I didn't want to go to the effort of fitting the engine and gearbox with a 100k+ miles old clutch and dual mass flywheel, only to find it slipping under the increased power - mine is a supercharged M62B44.

I could have done it cheaper (didn't know all the options back then!), so some of the other forum users can help you out there. Hope this helps though.

Cheers, Michael

Hey Simon,

VAC motorsports in the US do a pretty good deal that is a lightweight flywheel and m5 clutch. That is what I ordered for my build at least.

http://store.vacmotorsports.com/vac---m ... -p672.aspx

Not cheap but as far as quality for the money it isn't bad.

That VAC clutch is for a 6 speed box, the 5 speed has a different gearbox/clutch disc spline.

A guy over on Driftworks is building an M60 Nissan S13 and has got a decent looking flywheel from TTV in the UK for £369.

Uprated clutch, a 3.0 530 clutch will not take the power/torque of the 4.0

However the 530d clutches I believe are the correct fitment and have a good torque rating.

Cheers phill I'll take a look at the 530d clutch. Am I right in thinking you've put the servo in the n/s footwell on your touring? What servo did you use? Tackling that next I think just not sure which route to take wanted to keep the glovebox really. Cheers

I run a ttv solid mass fly on my m62 and its a fine piece of work. Also it was only £330 all in.

Dont know if its of any help but I run a stage 3 paddle from cg motorsport. Good bit of kit and only £300

Cool. How long have you had yours running? Did you do the conversion yourself?

Haha, running for a couple months but not long enough for a proper road test.

Yup, full conversion start to finish with a few tweaks to make it nicer

Clutch feels fine, little bit heavier but it has some slip and isnt as viscous as I expected. Quite nice to drive with actually
