Hi does any one know is there is a wiring convention for lpg?
ie as ive got a second hand kit (landi mutlpiont) but am trying to work out the colour codes ?
ie is say is purple the landa signal , and light grey the -ve
is yellow the fuel cutt off on over run ?
green/ and green and black the fuel level from gauge ???
thanks
lpg

as far as i can remember lambda sensors have 3 or 4 wires

Thanks
yep i know there normally white for purple for signal, black pair for heater and grey for - ve ,
but i need to know if there a convention colour code for lpg and if so what is it , as im like a kid with a new toy at present
thanks

Just seen your PM and this thread,so I'll reply here.
There is a common colour code over most LPg stuff, but have no experience of Landi, so don't know how much applies.
Red/black = Permanent 12V+
Red = ignition switched 12V+
Black = earth
Pair of yellows = NC relay contacts used to disable petrol injection
Purple = lambda sensor
Grey = fake lambda signal to keep OE ECU happy
Blue = LPG solenoid valves
Blue/yellow + TPS
Brown = tacho signal or ignition pulses
Green and white = LPG fuel level in tank
Hope this is of some help.

One more:
Orange = temp sensor

Thanks Brian,
that will do nicely as my starting point,
i 'm going to try to find some guidance on gen fitting issuses ie keeping gas line clear of heat souces etc how often to clip etc , then fitt all the mechanical bits and do the wiring last , lastly need to find a friendlty Landi dealer to insert a 6cy map as sytem was off v8,
its got 2 emulaotors and vapourizes , but i plan to get a 6cy emulator and still use the 2 vapourises each feedinf a bank of 3
o you know of any good parts suppliers for tanks copper pipe ( has to b coated ?) etc cheers

You need to get hold of a copy of COP 11 for the required standards of fitting. There's an out of date version on the web somewhere that should help.
There's a few firms on ebay who sell copper pipe and other bits, also lpgkits direct, and a few others that I can't think of at the moment.
If this is going on an M20, then you won't need an emulator - M20 ECU isn't clever enough to know the injectors are off. Just need to disconnect their common power feed.

good tip about the injectors , thanks as i was just about to order one , so i can just wire the lpg switch throught a relay to cut off injector feed ?
are the injectors on 325 the common earth type all earths taken to same point ? or sequetial injection type ie each injector wired up indepandent of the next and earth seperatly
just had to go and buy a tap to tap out inlet manifold for each injector , can nt decide weather to angle the injector at 45 o deg to drill at 90 which is easyer

M20 injector have a common 12V feed (red/white, IIRC), and are earth switched by the petrol ECU in two batches of three.
Just disconnect with a relay - that is unless your Landi sequential system intercepts the petrol injector feeds anyway.
Mixer type LPG controllers/ECUs usually have a pair of yellow wires for this purpose, which give a small overlap in fuelling when switching from petrol to gas.
Make sure you don't cut the power feed to the idle valve as well (as did at first).
