Has anyone used this intake on an M20B25, what sort of power gains can be expect? Does it require an ECU remap or would a Zone chip suffice to start with?

It certainly look snazzy!

Player6 (Scott) has recently had this system fitted to his car, although his is a 2.7/2.8 he might to be able to tell you what is involved and what sort of power increase you can expect.

PM him.

you'd be mad to fit those and not use a standalone, the AFM sitting on the far end of the plenum will do nothing but restrict the performamce dudes.

use those with MBE/Alpha N/Emerald, MS etc etc , whatever you choose alpha N mapping is the only way forward

Scotts car flies !, but how much is down to the Tbs..... hmmm I'm over there, on the fence

As Ant says, no point without stand alone management.

Also, you really need a lairy engine like Scots to take the full advnatge of them. No point unless you have a cam.

The power delivery will drastically change aswell, it will become much more linear and lose that big peaky torque the 325i has.

Not worth it if you have a standardish engine, stick to your standard inlet manifold which isnt a bad design.

I would absolutely love one of those for my 2.8 m20. But alas... they are way too expensive.

Thanks for all the input :D Maybe something for a later day once I've got the car running for a while. I plan to a use a custom ECU at some point, just not yet. For now I will stick to BBTB, chip and custom exhaust - adding a cam later once I have time to service the engine properly :)
