Afternoon all
Not the usual wiring issue question I hasten to add
The drivers lock on the touring is getting a bit stiff and difficult to turn.
I've stuck half a can of WD40 in there to loosen it up but no changes- I thought it may have been the deadlock issue I had on the bronzit.
Seems worse on unlocking, if I dont unlock and follow the motion of the lock and the motor, it sticks in place-
What should I look at first?

I didn't find it too bad.. Although I had the window mechanism out so maybe that made it easier?

Remove the doorcard
Using a long flatbladed screwdriver, flick the C clip off the lock barrel
Swear when the C clip drops to the bottom of the door...
Remove the single screw/bolt that hold the rear glass guide, slide guide down a little so it will swing forward.
Remove the three screws in the door jamb that retain the latch
Swear more as you fiddle the latch out past the glass guide.
Clean the latch, lubricate with the same oil that you bought for the kids bikes.
Work it by hand until it's smooth and light in operation.
Oil it some more.
Buy a lock repair kit(about £20)to enable you to build up a new barrel to suit your key.Fit,rebuild door and enjoy another 20 years of proper lock/unlocking.

Must be the time of year, as my touring has developed a stiff lock as well. Only thing is mine happened over night.
Just waiting for a break in the weather before pulling it all apart - and trying to remember not to deadlock it in the meantime as it would be my luck to have it break altogether whilst deadlocked

This is the lock barrel part that fails....

Unfortunately you have to remove the bloody thing and dismantle to confirm that it's the culprit
