Been offered an import spec Toyota MR2 G-Limited T-Bar non turbo for a ludicrously small amount starts with a 1 and only has 3 digits.
Its taxed and tested and everything works apart from a slight whine from the alternator i cant fault it.
body work is exceptionally clean with no rust that i can see and is in a nice gun metal shade
Full leather interior and the nice removable t bar roof.
Knowing nothing about these i haven't got a clue what i may be buying as i said its got a very long MOT and tax and its only done 112k and is on an N reg.
i know i cant really go wrong at the price I'm paying as the HKS exhaust system is worth more than I'll pay for the car.
My friend did have it up for sale for £1500 but is leaving the country on Sunday and needs shot.
anyone know anything about these give me any advise etc.
i know i can shift it on and make a small profit quite easily but quite fancy driving it myself for a while as I've never owned anything mid engined and rear wheel drive before
Talk to me......

i've had one and it was great fun, loved it, cabin is a good place to be.
But to honest mate, i paid more than that for our kids pushchair, so if you can afford to run another car and it as you have described then what is there to lose ??
Go for it

Great fun on the track, the back end can be quite lively and the open diff made it a little unpredictable but in fairness it was still manageble and great fun. I had a rev1 which had the worse reputation for the lively rear end action, on an N reg you should be fine. The only issue is part prices are terrible, heaven forbid you need parts from the main dealer, Toyota prices make the BMW parts desk feel like a 50% off day at Iceland.

Have to say i'm quite impressed, think I'll keep it till the end of this summer as its a T bat then move it on after doing a few jobs on it
quite surprised at how quick it is as well, definitely a drivers car
