Not something I'm intending on doing, just a thought I had earlier.

We know e30 and e36 arms are dimensionally identical, and use the same lollipop mounts and bushes.

We also know that e36 evo arms are longer in both planes than the standard e30/36 arms, pushing the wheel forward, and out, which you need when using e36 spindles and struts to put the geometry near where it should be.

However, does that also mean that using the evo arms with the standard e30 or e30 m3 strut would increase castor similar to offset bushes, but allow the use of standard concentric ones, and add negative camber and slightly wider track without needing adjustable topmounts?
cheers,

harry

Only way to know for sure is to fit a pair to an E30 with concentric bushes and hook it up to a wheel alignment rig.

In theory everything you say is correct. If it works in practice then the only way to know is to do it.
I also wonder why this is not done occasionally, if you used them where stock bushes and suspension are dictated it would be very hard to detect.
