We all have our ideal/favourite e30 colours, but which e30 wouldn't you buy, solely based on colour??

I wouldnt own a Neon Green or Glacier Blue Metallic e30, lovely colours but just not my cup of tea :)

Sort of agree with this! Normally hate red & white.

With a few exceptions...

Could only have a white e30 if it was an m3 covered in the warsteiner decals

and would only have a red m3. Normally hate red but on a e30 m3 it's so 80's and loud you can't help but like it! 8)

There is a vile green coloured one for sale in the cars for sale threads.

The only green car similar to that I've like is a SEAT Leon Cupra.

I have owned a number of e21,s and e30,s in colours i at first did not like but ended up liking them all,so now its not so much an issue more so than if its a good car in the first place. But as good classic,s become more scarce nowadays its more a case of like it or lump it (even the dreaded moredoor) can be made to look dare i say it decent! LOL

Same as rav, red is by far my least favourite colour, I think its disgusting. Callypso is worse than red on e30s though.

I never wanted a red E30, but a tech2 sport in brilliant red does look great, as long as its still red!
I bought mine 10yrs ago on body condition alone after a year long search. It was by far the best condition of all I looked at, even if it was a colour I didn't want. If I'd bought one of the others I looked at, chances are it would of been a toaster a long time ago.

I never wanted a white touring, but again, this one (other than obligatory rusty tailgate) is really sound, and now the white is starting to grow on me - which is a good job really, as my brilliant red sport is doing a good impression of white in some places

Insurance company stats claim red cars are a higher insurance risk due to the colour. They might have a point. :D

I think red e30's look really nice if they are standard, and really nasty when they are modified, just my opinion! Strangely enough I feel the same about White ones despite owning a modded White one!

I'd love a grey one, maybe I'll give mine a new coat one day!

Only bought it as it was cheap, clean and a way back into E30`s.
Bored of it now though to be honest :o:
Must admit though Bronzit is one of my favourite e30 colours after Lachs Silver.

what is it ? im on the lookout for fairley economical e30 , red or alpine white facelift

i think different colors suit different models, lachs is what does it for me in a pre facelift/tech 1 and my favourite

but am a fan of bronzit and henna red, would love one day or even now, a tech 1 kitted in either color

I've had three white tourings in a row now! Most people think I've just had the same car for ages :) White is trendy again now, I love parking my E30 next to brand new Audis. Sadly the rust on the tailgate kinda spoils the effect.

I wouldn't want a faded red one, but otherwise.... I'm actually quite partial to a doom blue touring.

Lot of hate for neon green....I agree it's a 'marmite' colour, but IMO the hate is because it's never been seen! They only imported 50 neon green cabbies in '91.
I've seen photo's of others in the time I have owned mine, but I have never seen another 'in the flesh'.

So glad no-one's mentioned my colour !!!

Sorry Daimlerman, but the neons aren't for me either, but as had been said, if its a good car, the colour grows on you anyway.

I wouldn't have bought a Cosmosblau car but it's what I was given and now I love it for its rarity, I've never seen another one in the flesh.

Makes getting matching panels from breakers a challenge though.
These are sensations as hard to forget as they are to ignore.....
