Check the first section on this page (Coolant Change), should be at least some useful info there for you HTH
EDIT: Oh, and IIRC if you jack the front of the car up so it's at an angle it aids the bleeding process

do i fill and keep the cap off and just use the screw on the rad? it releases air, it stabilised for a moment, but doesnt matter what i do i cant seem to get coolant in the stat or hoses?! the hose off the water pump is hot but aint full?
car has left me broke without a penny and its still being a b*tch! oh the joy!

Make sure the heater is turned to hot.
Remove one of the pipes connected to the heater at the back of the engine bay. Connect a garden hose to the heater and run the tap until water flows all round.

Bleed from the thermostat housing not the E36 rad screw. The design of the E36 vs E30 coolant systems are totally different. The Thermostat bleed screw is higher than the radiator.

tad drastic! il just leave it for now get some new hoses from bmw and jus leave it for my ol man!
everything was working perfect and head etc was only very recently reassembled, so dont want to be removing anything that doesnt need to be, just ran out of $ and skimped on the hoses and it decides to burst!
