who knows about or has actualy installed ews 3 into their e30?

Iirc there late 90's
I went from EWS 3 to EWS 2, from what i remember EWS2 has the receiver separate to the module, EWS3 has the reciever built in.
Wiring it up i cant help but id say it can be done.

E39 ECU with EWS 3 box and chip from key (from 1997 E39 528i)
im concerned about useing the ews 3 with everything else. cant find any specific information about the fact its an EWS3. where does it plug into and is the chip all il need to have it working?

EWS only has to much the key chip. its just a radio signal relay. how to wire it up you not the wiring diagram?. and fuses if not cutting the loom up its burns night

ok. but i cant get my head round where the ews module would be plugged in, would it be onto the original e30 loom under the dash somwhere or on the e36 engine loom somwhere? and would i need the plug from a e39 loom in order to fit it? sory about all the questions, its just theres nothing to be geeked online like there is for ews 2

I dont know anybody thats retrofitted EWS3, with the M52 ECU being able to have the EWS deleted or re-coded to EWS2 there is no point.

how much am i looking at to reprogram my ecu to delete ews then. and can it be done without having it fitted to my car as iv not got that far on my build yet. its just a rolling shell. who does it aswell? lol
