e30 318 to 325 engine conversion

hi i have a e30 318 im doing a engine swap to a 325 engine can anyone help me as to what i will exactly need to do this swap and how to go about it

Welcome to the zone. This conversion and all the relevant information is well documented in the engine swap and technical section.

On the other hand, if you need to ask, it is probably better to pay somebody who knows what they are doing ,to do it properly.

you need 325i donk,box,clutch,flywheel,starter ,loom,ecu,afm,full zaust and prop .best of putting engine and box in in one go as it saves a lot of messing about,it's all about the angle of dangle .

you will want to change your 318i 47mm front struts to the beefier 51mm ones with 325i springs and vented discs with callipers and maybe uprate the rear drum brake trailing arms to rear disc ones .

And swap the small case diff for a medium one.

i have read other posts some people are saying its plug and play and it just takes a little bit of wirting looms mod. the engine and box and mechanicals are all fitted but the car wont fire up

it's plug and play for someone that's mechanically minded

so do you have fuel/spark ?

only wiring mod is pin 20 on the c101 just cut it away and heat shrink it, 318i so you prob aint got abs,

if it aint cranking switch over cps and cid plugs
check the starter wiring and make sure you got the b/y on right terminal, and you obv got the large wire coming straight off the battery?
