hi all, i've bought myself an e30 and the check control is playing up.
When you put the ignition to 1 the leds come on( instrument cluster CHECK lights but doesnt flash. Then ignition 2 the lit up leds flicker. Then when the engine is running they just go out, as does CHECK on the cluster
the oil level sender isnt working as it lights up on the check panel but theres oil in.I've tried another check control panel and it still acts the same, one other thing i noticed is that when you put the lights on it doesnt light up either.
Any ideas ? Im going to try another set of clocks and change the oil level sender but havent got any spare at the moment.

cheers,
andy.

P.S good to be back in an e30

Take the oil level sensor out of the sump and soak it in petrol for a few hours.

ok will do.Do you think its just sticking inside?
Do you think this is linked to the weird control panel function though ?
