Bought my e30 about 3 weeks ago and it's really tidy with no rust at all but it's been car washed all its life and has light but deep scratches all over it I attacked with a buffer and some g3 rubbing compound and it hasn't made the slightest difference I then used some colourfast t cut and that didn't work either, have no choice than to get it sprayed, going for a silver purple pearl I think

How can they be "light but deep scratches" - they're either one or the other? :?

That colour-coded T-Cut is utter shite! I've tried it and it tends to go really manky looking if any water gets on it.
