I normally hate Baurs but that doesn't look too bad with the mtech1 kit on..

Looks like its got a tech II spoiler on it which doesn't really go with the tech 1 kit. I reckon that could break for decent money if had cheap enough.

Stil cant see the rust on the rear windows though

if he sells it for lees than half the asking price it would be a decent breaker if not you will have no morsels left after you break even and make little profit from the remaining mundane scrap .

i would say a baur is probably less prone to rot than a cab but if it's had that kit fitted from factory and it's never been cleaned out properly then it's fooked!

Baurs commonly rot at the base of the side window where the C post is cut to do the Baur conversion. I assume their rustproofing on the cut/modified parts was less than ideal.

Doesn't state the size of the M20, either - could be 2.0, 2.3, 2.5 or even 2.7+ :?

Yes, as above, all convertibles had 51 legs and rear discs, even the lowly 318.

HI some TC s like mine were factory lowered ,
and 51 s would definatley not fit ,
but i am enjoying the chat about the TC s it makes a change from the norm
theres not that many on the road at the moment , perhaps being restored
like my engine at the moment ,
just trying to keep it original,

When you say factory lowered i take it you mean M technic suspension as that was the only suspension upgrade available as a factory fit option.

Also, a 51mm front strut will fit any E30 apart front the 325iX which has a completely different front suspension layout due to it being 4wd.

Thats because its a 318iS base car for the Baur conversion and all 318iS's had the 51mm struts and rear discs as standard.

They also all had M technic suspension as standard.
