The 6th lead with the pulse sensor on my turd is all frayed and the insulation is coming off, it even shocked me when I touched it once.

I have a spare good lead but it if doesn't have the pulse sensor on it. Is there anyway I can swap the pulse sensor over from the old lead to the new one?

You can, but it's a pain.
You need to pull of the rubber seath from the plug end, and also the metal cylinder that clips onto the sparkplug, then feed the wire over, and reverse fiting.

Have you tried fitting it on the distributor side of the lead? :?
