Thing is Ross, i've been asking on other forums regards to an ARP kit for the M30, there isn't one specifically made for it.
The problem is there for another engine, so the problem which is shared with people who have these , is the shoulder does not sit properly on the rocker shafts, leaving play when tightened.
Some have used washers to help stop the play, but for me, if it isn't made for the engine, it's not going on it.

that's the same with the m20 arps they don't actually make them
they make them from another engine and adapt them to fit the m20
they do make them for the m30 mate

No, the shoulder on the bolt where it sits into the rockershaft isn't the right diameter, thus causing play in the shafts.
On the M30, the shafts have half moon channels cut out, locating the headbolts through them, and stops the shaft from rotating.
Make sense??, not sure if the M20 is the same

Head bolts dont go through the rocker shafts on M20.

That's the issue on the M30 Lee, they need to have the correct shoulder width to hold them in.

Reading from other forums, you would have to have some machined, which deafeats the object for going for the ARPs imo.
I've bought Elring headbolts now, and those will take 400bhp no problem.
I did want the ARP bolts, but the feeling is the same on most M30 builds,

If the only problem is keeping the rocker shafts in place then cant you secure them another way?
Could you drill and pin them somewhere?
Bet they dont move that much anyway.

Iv got a set ARP head bolts on my m30. The problem I've encountered so far is the rocker cover deosnt sit properly. I've had a quick look and it looks like two of the studs is touching the metal plate for the breather.
Also to my understanding the studs I've got(m30 specific), are the correct, as I was having problems initially putting the head on. Then finding out it wouldn't go on due to the rocker shafts(half moon) not located dead on
