Ok so I had a read round and still bit confused
So anyone started out with a 318is and wish to give me there advice
And possibility a parts list ?

So this is what I need ..
1995 E36 328i M52 Engine - with EWS
E36 328i exhaust manifolds
E34 525 24v sump, oil pickup pipe & dipstick tube
E36 engine mounting arms
E28 M5/M535 rubber engine mounts
E36 A/C radiator (for fitting temp sender for electric fan, the standard radiator does not have place for the temp switch)
E36 318Ti 80/88 deg electric fan switch.
E30 M3 electric fan - any E36 air con fan will do
Plug & play custom engine loom
Plug & play custom electric fan loom
Clio bosch servo - get from any plastic winged clio
E30 318iS gearbox
E30 318iS gearbox crossmember using e30/36 gearbox mounting rubbers.
E30 320 gear shift rods
Z3 1.9 gear shifter (quickshift) - optional - E30 one works fine
E30 325 clutch & flywheel
E30 325 Starter motor
E30 325 propshaft

That looks about right, will need a 3.64 or there abouts diff/lsd also with the m42box if you use it, not sure what diff to use with the m52 box.
There's a load of things you could do while your at it also, like
e36 rack conversion (need pipes made or bend your own)
new bushes for arb, lollie pop and gearbox, drop links etc
if your going a z3 short shift do a full refurb on the whole shifting mech
Clean bay and treat rust if there's any etc
there's probably other stuff i cant just think if
Danth does exhaust manifolds also.

id go with a total E36 setup thats what i did and less messing about really
E36 rack, gearbox + shifter, prop.. off a touring and everthing fits like factory, just need a E34 sump and pickup and stick thats its
