Morning chaps

The front bearings in the touring are getting a bit noisy- noise is proportional to speed, noise is best described as a rumble.

Am I correct in thinking the bearings are on the way out?

If so, how are they replaced?

Replacing the front bearings are considerably easier than the rears as the bearing forms part of the hub. Replacing the rears however....

A good write up can be found here;

One trick I've used on my cab was to remove the hub nut whilst the wheel was on, jack the car up and yank really hard on the wheel. The entire hub and bearing assembly will come out as one attached to the wheel. Then just remove the wheel nuts from the wheel and its off.

Its not a very difficult job..

Remove the caliper etc before trying to yank the wheel off!
