One of the nicest cars I sold at Stratstone was an 03 325ti in Pistachio green (pale yellowy green) with the matching half leather. It was an SE (rare) and I used it to go to work for three days. I didn't want to give it back - really bonded with it.

Gut reaction to this
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/BMW-330-I-SE- ... 2c6942842c
I messaged the seller for a bit more info, got this back.
We are also only the 3 rd owners.previous owner was a lawyer who upgraded to a porsche. has 2 keys as well and all the original. crisp motor
Mainly bmw service. last couple were our local garage.no rust. receipts for any work that has been done.manual. no advisories on the mot. we are selling as we have beamers for years, selling as we want to go back to having an estate one for the dogs and kids etc. car has been well looked over. has done under 10,000 miles in 2 years,it only goes out in nice weather and at weekends.the last service however didn't get a stamp as we forgot the book. we treat the leather with auto glym care balm.all original floor mats, still got original tool kit in the boot/ triangle. i would advise however that as you are coming 200 miles maybe to look the price is no negotiable. thanks

red leather and piano black trim is a good start. with these two common probs are knackered suspension which is fixable for a price and poor gear selection eg going from 4th to fifth instead of third this is a gearbox out job to sort properly.

Nice spec early turd. Rare electric blind and xenons are nice touches as is the red leather although I doubt very much that its nappa, M3's had nappa.
A lot of car for the money.
It's done a bit of leg though but they can do a lot more.

How bout a 330i compact?
Buy something like this....
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2004-BMW-316- ... 2322a9a00e
Then this....
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/BMW-E46-330i- ... 1c2cb00406
Or if your proper flush...
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2000-BMW-E46- ... 3a7b439a0e
Then spend a weekend lobbing it in. Pretty much plug and play with off the shelf parts.
Best of both worlds.

That's really nice. It's the reason an E36 isn't worth a cup of cold p1ss - who'd want one when you can buy that for 2 grand?

Golf V6 4 Motion has caught my radar, anyone know of any perils with them at all?
There is one in Sheffield I may go and take a look at tomorrow.

Not that quick and a few expensive things to go wrong.
If your going to get one then get an R32.
Juicy as fook though and forget 30 that a 330 can do.
Overall, understeery boater of a golf that a 330 would rape the shit out of.

Haven't got the £5k+ for the R32 Baz.
This is proving hard this car search malarky.
Had thought about E36's but they are all munters with rust issues or crap spec.
E46 is still a strong contender but I reckon I'd feel short changed in the engine room dept with anything less than a 330. It has to a manual. Not allowed a touring.
The MK4 Golfs look like decent cars with a bit of a luxury feel to them, the V6 seem to have good spec and a reasonable bit of poke. The TDi's make me nervous.

It is a nice car, but they don't really have much go at all and are a proper floaty/ bouncy castle ride.
I don't think I can look beyond the E46. It's a shame car viewing are confined to the weekends at this time of year.

it looks ok but the wheels are from a later car and its not a sport. Not that that matters as the coupes have mtec suspension but just so you know.

As above. Why would you take a picture of a f*cked gearknob and post it on the advert!!! And the drivers seat looks well worn. Looks like it's had Petes arse sliding in and out of it.
Mate of mine has been rolling a 330i manual touring for 18 months now. It was no where near 3 bags back then with similar mileage. In fact it was 2 thirds the price of that.
Plus I thought all sports had shadowline????
Is a nice spec though.

I was going to call in and see this car in Kings Lynn today on my way back from Norwich, but the trader confirmed it had a 1" rust bubble on the driver rear arch, so I didn't even bother going to view.
