can anyone tell me what these wires coming from the ecu plug en are for?? they run into the car loom and i want to know what they do before i cut then out

just been stripping a doner car for its looms etc to fit a 325 lump ,

They're not standard, most likey some sort of immobiliser? Theyre usually butchered in around there

They dont look like standard wiring to me......BMW did not use white insulation tape.

Looks like something thats been added by an alarm fitter etc, follow them to see where they go is the answer

yeah its got a prehistoric alarm in it , ill unrap em and see if they are just joined in etc ,

One other possibility is that they were part of a LPG installation.

it hasnt had a lpg conversion so ill put it down to alarm etc , ill trace the wires back and check they are just that before i lob em out,.
