I've just bought a 1991 325i convertible the indicators were fine on the way back the. The next day they decided not to work.
I have a Clifford alarm and when locking and un locking the car the indicators work so I thought the alarm was hard wired and it would be a fuse so I checked all the fuses there fine.(also hazard switch does not work). Then I thought it was the relay gone so I continued to do other things and put new side lights on the car and tested them and all the indicators came on permenantly then after a few seconds they started flashing and I could hear what seems to be the relay clicking when they flash I have no clue what this could be if anyone could help me because I'm baffled!!!!
Cheers
Jon

I am having a problem with my rear left indicator not working.
The recent advice I was given in checking things is;
1. Fuse 4
2. Glove box light shorting
3. Alarm wired to an earth on the hazard switch
Hope that helps a little?

i changed fuse 4 a few times now i dont think its that. i dont have a glove box light :s i will have a look see if there is wires dangling and ill trace the wires on the alarm see what i come up with i cant find for the life of me where the hazard wires are :@ tryed it earlier and turned on the lights fully and the right side indicators come on constantly so to drive it home i took a fuse out so they went off but now i have no dash lights

The normal indicator switch power feed passes through the hazard switch, so the indicators won't work without a working hazard switch fitted. If they do, then there's been some bodging going on.
