Heater Facia Removal

Tried removing my Heater Facia today but for some reason could not get the lower right (fan speed) section off.

Is there a trick to getting this side off?

The knob pulls off but the switch it's self remains attached to the panel,so remove the panel and attack it from behind.(as the actress said to the bishop)

You have found the two self tappers at the top,hidden behind the switches/switch blanks?

There's 2 screws at the bottom as well which you'll need to take out.

The e30 dashboard swap guide shows it on page 4.

Thanks gents, yes I got all four screws.

Guess I just did not pull hard enough, felt like it was stuck in there though. I will give it another try.

Ah!

Using a thin blade or a small flat bladed screwdriver,lift the panel around the heater sliders away.(pull the slider knobs off first! )
Hidden behind,you will find 4 small screws holding the panel to the heater....

Thanks, had already removed those. Was just having trouble with the bottom right corner for some reason, just would not come away from the dash.

I will post again if I still have no joy when I try again.

Sorry for the off-topic, but what is this Facia heater and what's the difference between the normal heater panel?

No difference mate. My distinct lack of actual part names. It is indeed simply the heater panel.
