I'm trying to do some research into manufacturers and suppliers of LSD parts for upgrading and rebuilding the standard clutch type units. Can any one give me any information on the above?

Drive & Traction is where Gareth told me to buy new plates from

Cheers Dan
Reading their website it says 'At driveandtraction we produce replica drive plates for Limited Slip Differentials manufactured by ZF.'

^ That guy seems to have a fair bit of info on parts requirements

^ That guy mentions the clutch plates direct from BMW, I'd be interested to know the price difference against the replicas

Nothing is available from BMW, only complete LSD packs.

This could be useful if you are fluent in German:
http://www.renault10.com/pdffiles/Manual_ZF_lok.pdf
The 2.1mm outer plates from Porsche are £20.61 + VAT each (91733255212) if you fancy changing up from the 2mm BMW plates.
Friction plates 48mm ID x 88.25mm OD.
If you're after genuine ZF clutch plates they are still available from Porsche, which I believe are the same.
95133255100, £29.27 + VAT
There's a guy on YouTube who has removed a washer, and shaved the carrier down 4mm to then fit 4 friction plates. I'm in the middle of stripping down my LSD to change the ratio and am pretty tempted to try this.
