Is there anyway to recondition the rubber?

I used back to black but it's a short term fix. I've been told to take a heat gun to it....but I'd rather not!

is there any wonder products you can use to knock a few years off

i belive heatgun is for plastics not rubber ! find some thicker gel type stuff that soaks in, give it a coat/leave/coat with that, then use autoglym vinyl and rubber care-which is best and excellent stuff to use on all car rubber, seals ,etc

mine was a bit ropey, so i just got hold of a very nice one instead, rubber is so much nicer and black and smooth

Linseed Oil works wonders, The one on my cab was badly faded when I got it and after a few treatments has came up great. Also its about 90p a bottle at the supermarket.

I think I'll have to source another one in the future polsta! got my hands full at the moment.
The back to black was gel based but after a few days the fading was showing through.

Linseed oil... I think I am some in the shed! Does it leave a residue?
The Internet - It has proven to be worthless, and is nothing but a repository for perverts.

This stuff works wonders on anything black, lasts well, doesnt wash off with the rain and even when you wash your car it lasts.

Worked wonders on my front grill and tech 1 spoiler

I looked into Plasti-Dip for that. It might be good, but don't quote me on that as I haven't used it.

I have used gummi pflege on rubber parts and seals with very good results. Not sure that it will serve your purpose without seeing what you are talking about but certainly worth a try. It is German after all...
