I just think it looks weird having chrome around the windows and on the grille, with a black plastic bumper. Looks like you've just stuck random parts together. Either one or the other imo :)

a few weeks ago a picked up a set of sport leathers for my e30 from a fellow zoner, also got a momo corse steering wheel to replace the standard 4 spoke, hes a crappy quality picture taken from my ipod

Image

I've also resprayed my alloys black with an alloy lip as they where becoming coroded and looking very tatty. I plan on getting new wheels at some point in the near future though.

My exhausts had a brief encounter with one of those parking spot reservation poles lying on the floor the over day, this resulted in a broken engine bracket and a blow in the manifold somewhere. Got a replacment bracket and spent 3 fun filled hours fitting it!

Heres what it looked like after the encounter with the pole, you can see the far left part of the bracket has completely snapped and rests on the rubber bush underneath.

Image

I also took a few pictures since respraying the wheels. Im not sure if i like them, i probably wont keep them like this for long to be honest and will probably restore them back to normal. The only thing thats stopping me is sanding those buggers down again.

About 5cm ground clearance! Practical? No. Looks? Sick. In my opinion ofcourse...

Sticker bomb! - Haters will hate ^^

Also discovered that exceeding the 100mph mark does start removing body parts after watching a part of my chrome window trim getting some major air in my rear view...

Another picture update to come shortly, hopefully a shoot with my mates white e30!

Mr Tuna, what wheels are you getting?

Looking good with the splitter on dude
How do you pronounce 'either'? I say 'either', but some say 'either'. Either is correct.

So i had a bad experience with Alloywheels.com, personaly wont be using them again. Put my order through on Friday, the website says next day delivery so i was expecting them monday / tuesday. I never recieved any delivery confirmation email so was chasing them up every day for a tracking number which they said they would email me (never recieved that email), called them today when the finaly told me the supplier was out of stock and that i should of recieved them tuesday but now i gotta wait 4-8 weeks. They dident bother telling me about it until now, if i dident call them how long would i of been waiting!? Not to mention aswell a couple of their customer rep's are impolite and realy misserable to talk to.

Anyway the wheels i was hoping to get where Dare RS 16x8, yeah fake BBS bla bla but i cant pull 1.5k out of my bottom for the wheels i dream of having so the fakes will do until i win the lottory... Dare wont have any for another 8 weeks so if anyone comes accross some silver 16x8's you know who to talk to, pref with silver rivets, and i dont mind if they are staggered.

Anyway im open to suggestions on other wheels, anything realy with a dish, lovin those polished frying pans at the moment!

Picture update :D:D:D
So i got my wheels and fitted them a couple of weeks ago, i ended up getting Dare DR-B's, fake splits (im poor, shutup! :p) 16x8 on front and 16x9 on rear et 20 front and 25 rear i think. I think the tyres where 195 40's at the front and 195 50's at the back hence why it looks a little weird.

I think i like them, im tempted to get some black vinyl and cover the spokes in it, opinions guys? Need to higher the car and space them out a little but thats a job for the future. Next wheels will be some bbs rs!

Anyway as for the photos, got a couple of normal shots then an attempt at a couple of gay lifestyling shots.

Okay time for an update :). So my e30 was a bit too low, and caused more problems than what it was worth. I managed to dry out my local area's supply of m40b16 sumps not to mention completely destroying my old weitec shocks, so i thaught it was time to take her of the road for a bit and do some work. In the meantime i went out and got my self a V reg fiesta with 160k on the clock for 200 smackers. It was a shed... especialy after what me and a few mates did with it but hey it was cheap on petrol, practical for my job and to be honest it wasent a bad little car, despite its millage.

I used this opertunity of having a secondary car to do a few upgrades on the e30. First of i went and got some 51mm struts, i been wanting to upgrade for a while now simply so im a little more ready for an engine swap. They where in rough condition when i got them as they had been sitting outside with the previous owner for some time. The paint on them had perished in some places and some parts where covered in rust so i got the trusty old dremel out and got busy. Once all rust was removed and i was down to smooth bare metal i gave them a lick of paint.

This photo is comparing one strut as how i recieved them and one after refurbishing one.

Image

Next thing to do was to get some new shocks! I very nearly got myself some billstein b8's however i came accross a zoner that was selling as set of b6's for a nice price so i went with that instead as im on a tight budget. The rear billy's had a bit of surface rust but all rebounded evenly. After getting them i needed some springs, ofcourse H&R's are some of the best out there for e30's however a set of the race spec are gonna set me back a good £200+ so instead i settled for a set of FK's. I cant say how stiff they are as i've only owned two different sets of springs, weitecs and now these but i must say these feel much more firm and 'sporty' then my squishy weitecs.

Image

I then went and got some 6pot calipers, unfortunately these where in similar condition to the struts and because of that i managed to break one of the bleed valves when trying to loosen it so again, i got them to bare metal and gave them a bit of paint, i wanted to do something slightly different so i got some blue paint and slapped it on them, not quite sure if i like how they look but they are hardly noticable when behind the wheel. I also got a pair of drilled and grooved disks to go with my shiny new calipers.

I've been addicted to reading some of the care and detailing threads and pushed myself into buying a few cleaning products. Gave her a good clean and now were back on the road. Scrapped the fiesta as it was long past its expiray date and managed to get £110 out of it which was surprisingly more than what i was expecting. Anyway so heres a few pictures of how she sits now, sorry about the long write up but thanks for reading :)

Well i think i been struck by bad luck, recently i've had problem after problem with my e30, first of the car starts to run rough, now it runs rich, then the shocks blew, last week the drivers side control arm ball joints went, got that fixed now the passenger sides need fixing, now the cars over heating, i wonder whats next! All this and i'm living on minimum wage! I dont think i could bare giving the e30 up just for a few issues but it sure is creating a few financial issues! I just hope that once i got these last few things sorted it will all start smoothing out for me! Then i can actualy finaly start saving up for the engine swap i've been wanting to do for the last two years!
