What sorta price would I pay for a tech 2 kit? I fancy one before the car gets painted. Are the fiberglass ones any good? Should I keep it genuine and just pay the extra[/img]

Thats my thinking too. Those fiberglass ones look nasty as hell. Never seen one in the flesh though.

Genuine kits are around £400-£500 mark.
I have seen some nutters asking £800 on ebay.

I got lucky, 120euro for a rear bumper, skirts and 4dr pods. Add the front bumper & valance + touring rear spoiler and it wasn't quick becoming expensive enough.

forget a mtech2, put the money towards some real bbs rs splits. You'll get your money back when its time to sell the car and rs's as far as im aware are always in high demand but i dont know about recently as ive seen alot of people rocking fake splits as there cheap and require less up keep as you dont give two sh*ts about them.

Its not as if the Mtech 2 kit loses money
Buy genuine and it will be worth the same if not more when it comes to selling it aslong as its not shaaaged.
A Cheap fibre glass one, depending on the buying price wont be worth as much when coming to sell it
£400 should get you a good one if you hold out, you might get lucky and get one cheaper but its doubtful.

Personally i think tech 1 boot spoilers at £100-150 are over priced but thats the going rate for them now.

You say that but to be frank, have you ever priced up a full tech 2 kit new?lyricalnut02 wrote:agreed. Silly money for sub 6-7k cars.
E30 parts prices new and second hand are only going one way and that is purely down to supply and demand.
Parts get rarer = prices go up.

I definately dont intend to buy one with the spoiler, I hate tech 2 spoilers, I sold one to a lad on here. As for real rs. Yes id love a set but fuck that price. I intend to move out next year, id rather have a flat than wheels. Theyr now making schmidt th lines reps so im gunna grab a set. Bbs 14s for winter and schmidts and borbets with marrakesh centres to match the spoilerless tech 2ed car. Judging by everyones input its still possible to get a tech 2 for less than 500 bucks which is pleasing. Car might be painted sooner than I thought

Front upper bumper more like £100 on its own.
I've had that and £120 for a front lower part and that was 4 years ago! Parts are a lot rarer now.

Why not go for the Se skirts and Is lip with a Se boot spoiler look. Looks smart and less future maintenance. (and cheaper)
