just a little update on this i finally got the boot open the other day and found the old rear side window surround so the chrome one was a latter add on ,it does have its lsd and everything it is a genuine one i have found it has done usual trick of rusting where the fuel filler pipe goes in the rear arch ,i also found this under the passenger seat ..oh dear

got some work done on this at last the little bit of rust up in the rear arch near the filler pipe turned out to be a much bigger job than expected ,i took the small tank out i am assuming its some kind of expansion tank for the fuel tank ?
started out looking like this

the car has had a new fuel tank at some point but thats coming out for me to do the welding and its not going back in ,im going to use this car for drag racing and general messing about in so im getting a 15 gallon race fuel cell for it ,thats going in the boot and getting a walbro fuel pump and swirlpot set up too , i have just bought a turbo manifold from `polred` and once the car is out of the garage im am going to be buying a spare engine and doing the turbo build on that hoping for around 350-400 bhp and to get the car to around 1000kg .I cant find a actual weight for a standard sport they seem to vary wildly from 1125 ish to 1300 kg .I took the side skirts off and found no rust very happy with that not happy that i took the bonnet off and putting it into storage it caught a nail and that did a huge arc scratch down to the metal from one side to the other .anyway thats my little update i cant see a bit for members cars ?

you will find a lot of that on mine ive had both front floors both rear outer arches twice rear pannel and the same patches in the boot and shes going in soom for roof rear quater not happy with finish and the bonnet not happy with the finish and drivers door so an on going prosses
