Hi guys, i'm in the process of removing the dreaded brown stuff and have cut out the shot jacking pads and was wondering if anyone does or knows of someone that maybe reproduces these so that they look like a factory fit, if not it will get the usuall sheet metal treatment!!!!

Many thanks Ian

Likewise, mine are both plated up, may need to add a little bracket or something but I'll worry about that later.

That's people's worry of loosing the pad usually isn't, as they house the bottom of the arch liner.. Just have to put a backet in for that..

Cut it out and weld in a nice plate! Not jacking points anyway so serve no real purpose except trap rot.!

what thickness steel should you use for that, Ive got to do mine. Also that bottom edge that garages like to deform when they jack it up, is that a thicker steel than normal bodywork

Those square 'thingys' on the underside of the front floorpans are NOT JACKING POINTS!
The bloody factory specified them just to enable the production line to have something to move the bare shells with.

Look under a factory cabbie, the entire area is boxed in,wonder why?
