hi people , i got a 318i m10 auto , and been offered 325 engine from the same year from an auto car,
my questions are can i bolt the 325 straight to the m10 box and use that keeping my prop etc?,
is the loom/electrics for the 325 switchable auto box seperate to the engine loom?,.

The 325 switchable auto loom is largely separate from the engine and body looms. It is electrically separate from the engine loom, but a small part is combined with it.
The 325 switchable auto engine is fitted with a different throttle position switch/sensor than the manual or 'ordinary' auto. This six pin TPS contains the same insides as the ordinary three pin TPS, plus a second TPS connected to the other three pins for the auto box.
The wiring for this is contained within the engine loom, but makes no electrical connection to it, and just goes to a plug that connects to the auto box loom.
